In our opinion, football is the greatest game in the
world, and there is no greater pleasure than watching
children playing football and enjoying themselves. For
children, football is a healthy form of exercise and a
learning experience in terms of self-confidence, team
building, sportsmanship, social skills and leadership
development.
We are committed to teaching the technical skills
of football as well as promoting sportmanship, teamwork
and fair play amongst all members(players), families,
spectators and volunteers. Players are encouraged to have fun, enjoy
themselves, to have a pride in themselves and in what
they achieve as a team. We don't play to win at all
costs. Enjoying ourselves and developing as players and a
team is our objective. We want to win, but win playing
good football and within the laws of the game. Playing
to the best of our capabilities and having a pride in our
performance regardless of the result is our primary
objective.
In order to achieve these goals, coaches and parents
must be role models, lead by example, in their conduct and attitudes towards
sportsmanship and fair play.
Gary Norman, the current team manager holds the F.A.
Junior Managers qualification which covers coaching, child protection,
and emergency first aid. As well as the U.E.F.A 'B' Part 1 coaching certificate.
