Match Report:
Purton started the game quickly and soon went
into the lead with a drive in a crowded goal area from Josh Harper. The
lead was soon increased when Kieran O'Driscoll finished off a fine
flowing move to keep his current scoring streak going. Purton's lead was
reduced when Blunsdon scored from a left foot drive, but their two goal
cushion was restored when Dale Crabbe scored from just outside the 18
yard box. Purton continued to press forward and looked dangerous on
every attack. Before half time, Kieran O'Driscoll completed his second
hat trick in three games, the last goal coming from a superb finish with
a looping shot over the Blunsdon goalkeeper. Half time...5-1.
Purton continued to create chances but with
less frequency. They visibly took their foot of the gas and as a result
conceded two goals in the second half. Final
score 5-3.

Coaches comments :
"The first half
was easily our best football of the season. They played some
lovely football, attacking from the back and switching play. By
half time, the boys thought that the game was easily won, but even
though I warned them, they stopped playing the football that had
got them the lead in the first place. That makes three consecutive
wins, and unbeaten in six. Well played lads."
