Match Report:

Purton were looking to build on their good win from the previous week with an away fixture against Old Town. Autumn had arrived on a wet and windy day in Swindon.

The game was played end to end with chances being created by good play and also by the wet weather conditions. Midway through the half, Kieran O'Driscoll kept up his scoring run with a right foot shot at the near post...1-0. Minutes later, Old Town equalised with a left foot strike. As the half time approached, Oliver Loveridge, burst through to round the last defender and coolly lift the ball over the advancing Old Town goalkeeper, half time...2-1.

In the second half, their was no let up in the rain and no let in the play. Again Purton attacked creating a number of good chances. Eventually, Edgar Espinosa increased Purton's lead, tucking the ball underneath the Old Town goalkeeper. Old Town responded well, and were testing the Purton defence. Eventually Old Town scored to reduce the deficit and make for an exciting finish. Chances were created at both ends but Kieran O'Driscoll made the game safe with his fifth goal in two games.

Purton Man of The Match:

 Edgar Espinosa

Coaches comments :

"A good game in terrible conditions, which made for an exciting game. The lads are playing with more confidence now having been unbeaten in five games. It is good to get back to back wins and the three points."
