Well guys, hope you are all enjoying the new
season, and enjoying the benefits of being part of a football club.
Unfortunately your enjoyment is not free and
costs money, although in my opinion you cannot put a price on fun,
enjoyment and happiness.
As you are all aware, subs are paid monthly,
which contribute to the costs of pitch hire, sports hall etc.
Sponsors contributions cover the costs of new kits etc.
Each player now has a full training kit, which, in my opinion, |
makes a big difference in training. It looks
great seeing all the boys in the same training kit and looks so much
more professional.
Most of the players now have a tracksuit as well,
we still have a few to purchase upon availability of the required
sizes. Again it looks so much more professional when the players
turn up on match day in their tracksuits.
There are other expenses, such as balls,
equipment, first aid kit, referee, club and league fee’s etc.
I personally would like to
|
continue the trend for new equipment and quality
equipment and make further purchases for the squad in the future.
To raise further funds, I have purchased some
scratch cards, and also have other ideas. I will be issuing these in
the near future. Any other ideas from yourselves are very welcome. I
am very keen on support and participation from all of the parents.
You are as much a part of this club as the players.
Thank You

Football is a team game, and team work is
something that I believe in strongly and encourage very much so. I
believe that every squad player, regardless of ability has a role to
play.
As a reward for team play, effort, attitude and
performance , an award is made for each game for a ‘Man Of The
Match’.
Last season the player or players awarded ‘Man Of The |
Match’ was awarded a trophy which they kept
until the following match. The trophy was then passed on to the next
deserving recipient.
This season, the ‘Man Of The Match’ will
receive a permanent award. Each player chosen as ‘Man Of The Match’
will receive a medal which they will keep.
In the first two games of the season, the whole team played well,
and it would have been |
unfair to reward one individual. However, this is not a
bad thing as I am pleased that the lads played so well that it made
it impossible to select a ‘Man Of The Match’. We have since
awarded ‘Man Of The Match’ to the following:
Jamie Griffin
George Ffoulkes
Simon Randlesome
Congratulations
