Introduction To "When Sunday Comes"

Welcome to the second edition of "When Sunday Comes", a brand new newsletter for Purton Football Club - Under 11's. The new season is now in full swing, and in my opinion has started well. The lads lost the first game at Shrivenham, but have since been unbeaten in four matches. They have adapted well to the changes and

have played some good football. So far, they have the second best defence in the league and have scored an average of three goals per game, with the goals being spread throughout the team. New players have come in and mixed well with the players from last season.

In this edition of 'When Sunday Comes' you will find all the statistics for the season so far, forthcoming fixtures, an interview with the coach as well as plenty of news items. Remember, this newsletter is for you, so all your feedback and opinions are welcome, perhaps even a new name for your newsletter.

New Kit

By now, hopefully you have all seen the new away kit. It is of course, navy shorts and socks with a sky blue shirt which blends into white towards the top of the shirt. The kit is a good quality kit made by Nike and supplied by a local stockist based in

Swindon called Football Town. The choice of kit was a majority vote by the players themselves, and in my opinion it was a good choice. The kit was worn for the first time against Ferndale and I thought the lads looked very stylish.

Perhaps we could invest in a new red kit ? What do you guys think ?
