Match Report :Purton made a slow start to the game and soon fell behind to a long range strike from Eldene. Purton soon equalised when Kieran O'Driscoll drilled in a left foot strike from the right hand side. With 10 minutes of the first half remaining Eldene scored from a 20 yard free kick. Eldene then increased their lead with another fine shot from outside the box. Half time, 3 - 1 to Eldene, a disappointing half for Purton.. Purton came out in the second half with a much better attitude and began to dominate the game. Their passes began to find each other, tackles were being made and chances were being created. From a right wing cross, Ryan Norman arrived at the far post to volley home and bring Purton back in to the game. Against the run of play, Eldene again scored from a long shot, 4 - 2. Despite the lion's share of possession and creating plenty of chances, Purton failed to score again, full time 2 - 4. |

Coaches comments :"The first half was disappointing, but the second half was much better. Perhaps next week, we should just start the second half. I was pleased with the way they battled the second half and made a real game of it. With a bit of luck we could have got a result but that is football for you."
