Match Report :Purton Cubs were looking to continue their winning run. The game was played in difficult windy conditions, with the ball bouncing around like a balloon. Purton made the early running and took the lead after 10 minutes with a right foot shot from Dale Crabbe. A minute later, Purton added another goal after a run and shot by Josh Harper, which hit the cross bar and was followed in by Kieran O'Driscoll...2 - 0. Before the 1st half ended Josh Harper scored from the right wing with a shot that was helped by the wind. Half time 3 - 0. Malmesbury pulled a goal back early in the second half but failed to add any further goals. Half way through the second half, Kieran O'Driscoll scored from the left hand side to make the final score 4 - 1.

Coaches comments :"The wind made it very difficult to play football today, especially in the second half. But it is another win which is pleasing." |
