The lead was soon doubled when Georgio Wronna again slipped the ball into the back of the Blunsdon goal. Despite some fine saves from the Blunsdon goalkeeper the lead was soon increased to 3 - 0 when Georgio Wronna completed his hat trick. As the end of the first period of the game was ending, Shannon Pocock drilled in a shot to make the score 4 - 0 at the first break. Purton made a number of changes to start the second period with a very different looking team. Blunsdon were a award an early free kick which was spectacularly drilled into the goalkeepers top left hand corner, had he taken inspiration from David Beckham's free kick which the day before had secured England's passage to the world cup ? Good goal...4 -1. After some more goal chances at either end, Henry Borrill took hold of a pass to turn and shoot from distance...5 - 1. The final period again saw Purton make player and tactical changes to maximise the use of the friendly. In difficult windy conditions, Purton continued to play a pass and move game which resulted in a fourth goal for Georgio Wronna, the striker deftly lifting the ball over the goalkeeper from the edge of the Blunsdon goal area. Final whistle...6 - 1. Well done Purton. Despite conceding 6 goals the Blunsdon boys should be proud of their display especially the goalkeeper who made some fine saves from various Purton players as well as quality goal from a wonderfully executed free kick .
